I was walking in the streets of Saint-Germain-des-Près with my husband and my daughter, as I usually like to do on Saturday afternoons. Just strolling in the busy, narrow streets, where tourists and Parisians alike frequent art galleries, antique stores, bookstores, restaurants, cafés, bars…

On Rue Mazarine I saw this beautiful store full of puff pastry brioche: Goût de brioche! And not just any brioche! The brioche of Guy Savoy, the chef of the famous 3 Michelin stars restaurant Guy Savoy in the 6th arrondissement.
This store was opened in July 2015. The décor is very elegant and uncluttered; a black wall on one side and wooden slats on the other side.
The puff pastry brioches are highlighted on the black display, similar to roses in their individual vases. There are different kinds of brioches, savory, or sweet. They look delicious and they are. I tried a few of them and they were very tasty and crunchy.
Brioche with chocolate-hazelnut, brioche with strawberry jam, brioche with cranberries-white chocolate, brioche Parmesan, brioche mushrooms – the list of options is long. The price is between 4.50 € to 7 € for the individual ones and 32 € to 36€ for the bouquet (6 people). They also sell quiches called BRICHE for 6€-7€.
Don’t hesitate to stop by Goût de brioche to taste their delicious puff pastry brioches by Christian Boudard, the pastry chef at Guy Savoy!
