Pimientos de Padrón, Tortilla Española, Croquetas Cremosas, Paella de Mariscos, Jamón Serrano, Chorizo Ibérico, Aged Manchego … a bit of Spanish inspiration in your plate?

I am indeed talking about the restaurants in NY and not the very famous Mercat de Sant Josep de la Boqueria, better known as “La Boqueria” in Barcelona, Spain. The restaurant Boqueria in NY serves tapas and authentic Spanish ham and cheese in a very friendly and vibrant atmosphere.
I’ve been several times and have tried many of their dishes in the three different establishments in Manhattan. The first one I tried was the Soho boutique, and this is maybe the reason why it’s my favorite one. It’s very busy, a bit cozier, and has great vibes. The décor is very warm and welcoming. The tables are made of light wood just like the walls. The color of the benches is off-white and the chairs are dark brown. The wood floor brings a very warm touch to the place.
The service is always very good; I have never been disappointed. I like going for dinner, the ambiance is very dynamic and engaging. I love the idea of the little plates that we share. The menu is varied and has many choices.
On the menu, you will find several different kinds of authentic cheeses and Spanish charcuterie. They have a mix platter that I highly recommend – that way you can taste different kinds of both. With it goes well a very nice Spanish wine from their cellar.
At Boqueria, there is a special set menu for lunch: Tapas Bar Lunch. You can choose any three items from the “Tapas Bar” menu for $15. This is a very good deal, as the dishes are quite generous and ample.
Boqueria is a great restaurant to keep in mind for casual outings with friends and even with family. It’s a little bit noisy for a business dinner but suitable for lunch.
