Thank you to the Randazzo family for moving from Sicily to the Bronx in 1920 and opening this amazing seafood store! Thank you to the third generation of Randazzos to have kept the tradition and maintained the high quality of this store.

After living in Tokyo and Paris, I was spoiled by the quality and variety of seafood available. Discovering this fishmonger in NY was a big relief for me.
Randazzo’s is a wonderful fish market on Arthur Avenue in the Bronx. The two brothers, Joe and Frank, pour their hearts into managing the store. Their products are astoundingly fresh and the price reasonable. They have a vast selection of fish such as I have never seen in the US: crabs, sepia, baby octopus, branzino (sea bass), sea bream, fresh anchovy, Spanish mackerel, cockles, manila clams, clams (they call it Vongole in the store), wild mussels, fresh squid, etc…
A wide range of aquatic products is imported from the Mediterranean Sea like triglia, sardines, octopus, and more.
The store is clean with no foul odor. The staff is kind and helpful. Don’t hesitate to buy a whole fish; the two men in charge behind the counter will clean anything you want. A small tip is always appreciated.
There is a casual little raw bar outside the store where you can taste fresh oysters ($18 the dozen), clams ($12 the dozen), and Vongole ($12 the dozen). You can stop in while running your errands and the staff will shuck it for you on the spot. Can’t get fresher than that!
Randazzo’s is my favorite fish market in NY and I always find the time to drive all the way to the Bronx to buy their products, it worth every mile!
