Paris is certainly one of the cities with the largest concentration of restaurants in the world. You can eat well, very well, badly, very badly, etc. You have all kinds of quality levels and prices. Most of the time it’s French cuisine, right? Okay, there are a few Italian and Lebanese restaurants as well.
Guido de Luca is a surprising little Italian restaurant. Well established in the 17th, it has a simple but elegant decor with an unbelievable menu! The atmosphere is very pleasant and friendly. The owner, Romano De Luca, is a constant in the restaurant, taking good care of the clients, guiding them in their choices with professionalism, and always ready with an anecdote or a little story.
I love La Dame de Pic! If I had to open a restaurant myself, I would probably want it just like this. A beautiful and elegant décor, very pleasant staff, and exquisite cuisine! I would call it Miss Glore (Do not confuse with Miss Dior)!
I must say this restaurant is quite an experience. It has the atmosphere of a street food café but with outstanding cuisine!
The décor is, how can I say… missing! The only existing sign is the one from the previous establishment: City Café Sandwich. You need to be inside the restaurant to see on a bare wall four letters made of steel forming the word “abri”.
It was a family outing to celebrate my son’s birthday. My son T who’s birthday is today is quite the gourmet and is always expecting to be culinarily impressed, especially when it comes to his birthday. When he eats he likes to be surprised first and satisfied after. Each year since he turned 16, I try to find the right restaurant.
This is our family restaurant in the 17th! You know each family needs a restaurant where they feel comfortable, welcome, and where they know they will eat well and know very well what they will be eating! The “Royal Indien” is this kind of restaurant. The owner is such a nice and pleasant person that you immediately feel comfortable. The food is tasty and the service excellent.
19 Euros for a 3-course meal is really not much, but for an excellent 3-course meal with a pleasant atmosphere and a beautiful presentation, it’s an amazing bargain!
It sounds like the Greek dish Moussaka but it’s not quite the same. For sure both have eggplants but the Lebanese Moussaka’a is a vegetarian dish based on eggplant, chickpeas, tomato, mint, and olive oil. I don’t add any other herbs or spices because I like the taste of the eggplant and chickpeas to dominate in the mouth with a slight touch of tomato and mint.
Lunch at Bacco in the 15th arrondissement was an enjoyable experience. Well, the day didn’t start so well!
A perfect place for Shabu-shabu and sushi! You can choose an all-you-can-eat for ¥ 8000 ($65 or 60€) or an a-la-carte menu. Hassan is a 2-min walk from Roppongi station (Exit 1a or 3) and is located beneath a bookstore. My friend Kana found this restaurant and took me during my last trip to Japan.
