Colonia Verde features Latino American cuisine in a charming and softly lit atmosphere located in Brooklyn. The brick-like tile floor is reminiscent of a farmhouse interior. The table, chairs, benches, and bar at the entrance are made of wood, lending a rustic flavor to the decor. The back of the restaurant has a different feel due to its glass roof; it’s a bright winter garden and the open-air patio is an oasis on a warm day. It’s especially pleasant for weekend brunches.

I don’t need to introduce you anymore to Enrique Olvera, the chef-owner of Pujol in Mexico City, who partnered with chef Daniela Soto-Innes at Cosme and Atla. He is the world-renowned chef who is redefining Mexican cuisine!
I have neglected my fellow Belgians and I apologize for that. It’s not because of the lack of excellent restaurants and chefs in the country, but rather a lack of time on my side.
One day, a young man rode the subway from Morningside Heights all the way down to Soho (for those who are not familiar with Manhattan, this is about a 45min trip). He then walked to Rubirosa, ordered a take-out pizza, returned to the Upper West Side to surprise his sweetheart with her favorite pizza in NYC! Ah, l’amour!
So many famous figures in the worlds of art and literature have stepped onto the floor of La Maison Rose and most of us have no idea! Some of these people have been immortalized in paintings and others contributed to one of the turning points in art.
Did you know the East Village is considered the San Sebastián of NYC? I personally didn’t, but that is what the sign in front of Huertas claims. I doubt that this is an accurate statement, but I definitely ate pintxos (Basque version of tapas) … or certainly something close to it.
