I landed at Haneda airport on April 1st at 6:20 pm and I was at Nanbantei at 8:30 pm to have my first dinner in Tokyo! My first for this trip of course!
Nanbantei is my favorite place for yakitori. It used to be our family restaurant when living in Tokyo from 2009 to 2012.
Potimarron, or Red kuri squash, is a hard-shelled winter squash variety with firm orange flesh. It belongs to the Cucurbita maxim group. The flesh provides a very delicate and mellow chestnut-like flavor (marron means chestnut in French).
