I love Facebook!! I do! I know you see all kinds of things and sometimes exceedingly boring ones. But sometimes you discover new places thanks to other people’s postings.
Like I would have never heard of this restaurant Le 975 if my friend Rieko didn’t post her lunch pictures. They looked amazing so I went to try it. And indeed, it was amazing!!
For €39, you have a beautiful and delicious “Menu gourmet”! Set menu of 5 dishes that changes every day depending on the season, the market, and the creativity of the chef. It’s also possible to order a la carte, which varies every day as well. The dishes are beautifully presented and will amaze you with a very interesting combination of ingredients. You go from one surprise to another. Soup of potimaron (pumpkin kind) with mozzarella, octopus with quinoa, …
Chef Taiki Tamao and Mathieu Orazi made this place a very casual and pleasant restaurant in the middle of a very popular and busy neighborhood. Bay windows all around the façade make the place very bright during the day. The décor is simple but very cozy. You can see the chef working behind the bar. The place is small but tables have enough space between them to keep a very decent distance from your neighbors. The flow of the waiters gives a very dynamic feeling to the place.
Mathieu Orazi is a sommelier and has his secret discoveries. By the glass or by the bottle, he will guide you very well in your choice of wine.
I asked Mathieu how the two were connected. He answered very seriously that his ex-wife is now Taiki’s girlfriend. Which of course is not true but was quite funny. Actually, both of them worked for a few years in the same restaurant in the middle of Montmartre.
The partnership seems to work perfectly well and the restaurant Le 975 is very busy! Since the opening, they have been full almost all the time.
Let me know if my recommendation was accurate and helpful! I would love to hear from you!
