Soogil was on my list of restaurants to do. I couldn’t remember why, but I definitely liked the restaurant’s name; it sounded seductive.
Meadowsweet was awarded a Michelin star in 2015, a year after its opening. The owners, Stephanie Lempert – director of operations – and her husband Polo Dobkin – executive chef – wanted their guests to feel comfortable in a laid back yet tidy and well thought out atmosphere.
So my friend and blogger Lisa kindly invited me to celebrate my birthday at this newly opened Chinese restaurant: Hunan Slurp. At first glance, it was a great choice as Pete Wells, famous restaurant critic at the New York Times, wrote highly about it. And at second glance, it was still a great choice!
The brunch at Fausto is great! They have this huge French toast topped with seasonal compote and mascarpone. It’s so big you wonder how you’ll finish it, but it’s so good that in the blink of an eye the dish is empty!
Takayuki Nameura, born and raised in Japan, arrived in Paris in 2016 and opened his own restaurant: Montée. And just like that, he received his first Michelin star in 2018!
On my recent trip to Peru, I was spending only one night in Lima, Peru. As a result, I was determined to find a rare gem and to finally discover what makes Lima’s cuisine so famous and sought-after. Sadly, I wasn’t able to make a reservation at one of the world’s 50 best restaurants.

Apparently, it’s not enough to be the chef at the one Michelin-starred restaurant Antoine; he’s also the owner of Mensae (table in Latin) and now Sellae (chair in Latin) in the 13th arrondisssement.
Fulgurances is a springboard for ambitious and talented sous-chefs attempting to cut their teeth on shrewd patrons ready to play the game before hopefully one day opening their own restaurant.
Danish chef Ronny Emborg, the executive chef of the two Michelin-starred restaurant Atera, is an architect, a designer, and a true artist!
