Lunch with my son in one of the trendiest Indian restaurants in NYC – at least this was plan A. Unfortunately, it was fully booked, so we ended up in the cheapest Indian restaurant I have ever been to! How did that happen? I’m not sure, but we did not regret it at all!
The first time I saw chef Thibault Sombardier, it was on television and I fell in love, not with him – he’s too young, but with his work and his passion for what he is doing. He didn’t win the finals at Top Chef 2014 but nevertheless, he left as a winner!
Mak Kwai-pui, the former chef of a three Michelin-starred restaurant in Hong Kong, decided to open up with his partner chef Leung Fai Keung a 20-seat dim sum restaurant in Mongkok, a very busy neighborhood in Hong Kong – this restaurant was Tim Ho Wan.
The Epiphany – the arrival of the wise men – is January 6th, and if you’ve lived in Europe you have certainly seen the pastry shops loaded with the seasonal galette des rois – King’s cake. If you’re wondering what this delicacy signifies, read my blog post about this famous tradition.
This is a trip I’ve been meaning to share with you for a while; sorry it took so much time to come up with my blog post! Guatemala is a beautiful country and hosts some fantastic treasures. It has so many interesting and wonderful sites to visit. Guatemala is somewhat overshadowed by Mexico, which people often choose as their vacation destination, but precisely for that reason it has not been spoiled by too many tourists and stays authentic.
How did two chefs, Jeremiah Stone and Fabian Von Hauske – allegedly lovers of Cheez-its and McDonald’s French fries – come up with such a refined and ingenious menu at Contra? I don’t have the answer really, but one thing is for sure, they deserve their Michelin star without a doubt!
I grew up hearing that carrots are good for your eyes. It is true that carrots have a lot of health benefits. Several experiments have shown that beta-carotene and antioxidants, both present in carrots, have either prevented or cured diseases. The benefits of eyesight are less obvious. Unless a person has an existing severe Vitamin A deficiency, eating carrots will not likely have a positive impact on vision. Sorry to dash your hopes, carrot eaters!
A traditional bistro in the heart of Paris! Yes maybe… but in reality, it’s much more than that. With its joyful manager along with exquisite cuisine, this is what makes Le Bon Saint Pourçain a successful restaurant!
“Creamiest, juiciest, delicious-iest homemade Mozzarella,” this is how Lucas Peterson from Eater describes Casa Della Mozzarella’s mozzarella! Spot on my friend!
